GrowingGreat is a nutrition education organization dedicated to inspiring children to make healthier eating choices. Through our pay it forward model, students enjoy classroom nutrition lessons, garden plantings and farm to school tastings all presented by trained volunteers and teachers.

Our research shows that after experiencing these lessons, students eat significantly more fresh fruits and vegetables. Nutrition education is essential to turning the tide of childhood and adult obesity. Studies show that every dollar spent on nutrition education saves $4-$8 in health care costs.

GrowingGreat currently serves 16,000 students in Los Angeles County, operating and managing over 30 schools in 10 school districts. Our curriculum is also implemented in 3 schools in Marin City, CA, 5 schools in Ojai, 1 school in Las Vegas, NV and 12 schools in Oa’hu, HI. 65% of the elementary schools we serve are Title 1.
